Danny is a Consultant at MI with a Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental). A pragmatic environmental engineer with creative flair, Danny has a career that has spanned engineering, events and writing. Danny is certified for ISO20121 Implementation, accredited through the Institute of Sustainable Events.
Danny most recently partnered with the Ann Duffy Group to deliver the sustainability plan for Rugby Australia’s 2027 Rugby World Cup bid. Danny was also content editor for the Qatar Olympic Committee bid for the 2030 Asian Games and proof of concept for the 2032 and beyond Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Throughout his time at MI, Danny has been involved in projects including the writing of the narrative case for change for Strategic Business Cases including the Bathurst Second Circuit, a new University campus in Gosford, a new Wildlife Hospital development at Taronga Zoo and the Hunter Sports and Entertainment Precinct.
Danny has considerable experience in project management across the events sector, delivering the successful operational readiness program (logistics transition) for the first stage of major renewal works at Sydney Opera House, the $150 million Vehicle Access and Pedestrian Safety project. This involved extensive stakeholder consultation and management of all food & beverage operators in the Sydney Opera House precinct, as well as all major Australian arts organisations.
Working across venues, events and precinct planning, Danny exhibits expertise in project management including investigations and assessments to deliver change programming across operations, public transport and community practice with the ultimate goal of improving sustainable outcomes.
Prior to MI, Danny was a journalist and editor for Engineers Australia's media company - Engineers Media, and Deputy Editor for the masthead Engineers Australia magazine. Danny likes to keep fit and is a keen trail runner, with his favourite races including the Coastal Classic and the Hounslow Classic.
