Danny Cameron, Proposals and Tenders Consultant
Danny is a Consultant with MI with a Bachelor of Engineering, and leads the bid preparation and tender responses for the company.
Danny has also been involved in recent projects for the company, including the writing of the business case - case for change for new development at Taronga Zoo. He also recently completed an extensive stakeholder consultation project for Destination NSW, using both face-to-face qualitative and online quantitative surveying techniques to gain industry insight into the performance of business events in regional NSW.
Danny has considerable experience in project management across the events sector, most recently delivering the successful operational readiness program (logistics transition) for the first stage of major renewal works at Sydney Opera House, the $150 million Vehicle Access and Pedestrian Safety project. This involved extensive stakeholder consultation and management of all Food & Beverage operators in the Sydney Opera House precinct, as well as all major Australian Arts organisations.
While at Sydney Opera House, Danny also led the development, implementation and delivery of a major overall of the Sydney Opera House Production Warehouse, improving systems and processes to ensure efficient operations.
Previously, Danny has worked as a site manager for Sydney Festival, Edinburgh International Festival and across the European Music Festival circuit, including Glastonbury and Reading (UK), and Lowlands (Netherlands). He also worked in the Sydney Corporate Events sector for an audio-visual company supplying Sydney’s premier hotels and conferencing venues.
Danny was also a journalist and editor for Engineers Australia's media company Engineers Media for eight years, rising to Deputy Editor for the masthead Engineers Australia magazine.
