Dhruv Garg

Dhruv is a Consultant with over six years’ experience in a research consulting capacity. Throughout his time at MI he has designed, scripted and analysed project research results across the Sport, Event and Tourism sectors.

Dhruv has managed research projects for many of Australia’s key tourism organisations including Tourism Events Queensland (for their Major Events Research Program), Northern Territory Major Events Company, Venues Canberra (for their Mystery Customer Research Project), South Australian Tourism Commission and Destination NSW

In 2019, he managed the City of Perth's Economic Impact and Event Analysis project for Skyworks, including the overseeing of infield researchers during the event, followed by analysis and reporting.

Within the sporting landscape he has worked on the Qatar 2030 Asian Games bid, the Rugby World Cup 2027 bid and developed a go-to market strategy to evaluate and monetise Basketball NZ’s event portfolio.


Dhruv was heavily involved in the master planning for Sydney WorldPride 2023 and has also undertaken research projects for South Australian Tourism Commission around tourism product testing and choice modelling.


Prior to joining MI, Dhruv worked as an Analyst with the research, analytics and knowledge wing of KPMG India, working across several industries such as private equity, government, commodities, economic development and mergers & acquisitions.


Dhruv holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from Delhi University and a Master of Business (Sport Management) from Deakin University. He is a non-competitive walker and a passionate dumpling aficionado. He enjoys reading, and is currently in the middle of a spree of books on football (namely soccer) history.
