Planning & Delivery
The Olympic Development Authority (ODA) sought strategic advice relating to the delivery structures required for Olympic venue and overlay delivery as well as ongoing support to the executive through the phases leading up to the hosting of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
MI provided strategic advice to the ODA from the early phases following the Bid through to Games time. MI was instrumental in the structure of the ODA Delivery Partner, the review of venue development and delivery strategies, legacy strategies, tender processes and tender reviews as well as enabling legislation to deliver the Games.
The ODA was widely regarded as a key to the success of the London 2012 Olympic Games. It was able to learn from the best delivery models and mistakes from Sydney, Athens and translate that into the British economic and legislative framework to deliver world class venues on time and on budget.
