As a result, the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2022 was celebrated as the most successful and sustainable women’s basketball event to date. Its achievements were driven by initiatives such as sustainable sourcing and packaging, the use of electric vehicles, reliance on renewable energy and impactful sustainability messaging.
