Venue masterplanning is the process of aligning the concept for a venue, precinct or city’s sport and entertainment facilities to ensure it meets long-term operational, financial and community goals. Working with stakeholders to understand needs and objectives enables the layout, infrastructure, functionality and sustainability of a venue or site to be optimised, ensuring it can accommodate its legacy and maintain flexibility for future growth.
It's vital for masterplanning to consider factors such as site context, location, transport, crowd flow, accessibility, environmental impact and commercial opportunities to create a seamless experience for fans, athletes, hirers, owners and stakeholders. A great masterplan will align a clients’ long-term strategic objectives providing a framework for a series of projects that can be adopted over time. Plans inevitably evolve, but a good masterplan will stand the test of time.
