Tom is a Project Director and management consultant with over 27 years’ experience in strategic advisory and the delivery of complex infrastructure and event projects in sport, tourism, arts & culture.
A founding member of MI, Tom has a deep understanding of the tourism, arts & culture and sporting industries. He has an impressive record of delivery for clients across major programs and projects and has advised cultural institutions, sporting organisations and tourism authorities. He has led strategic and operational planning for Olympic Games, Rugby World Cups and other major International events and has led multidisciplinary teams in master planning, design, feasibility, business cases and the procurement of arts, cultural, tourism and sporting infrastructure.
Tom has been Project Director for the renewal of the Sydney Opera House and Development Director for the $820m refurbishment of Stadium Australia. He has led a national Sport Venue Master Plan for the State of Qatar, and a master planning framework for VenuesWest, along with providing advice to the Sydney Cricket & Sports Ground Trust master plan and grandstand redevelopment projects.
Throughout his career, Tom has led strategic reviews for the Royal Botanic Garden and Domain Trust, strategic plans for NT Tourism, Destination NSW and NT Major Events Company, and has facilitated the development of strategic plans & business cases for the Australian War Memorial, Events Queensland, Football Federation Australia, Australian Rugby Union, National Rugby League, Football NSW, Basketball Australia and the Trippas White Group.
Tom is a keen cyclist and sailor who races blue water offshore and crews on performance inshore boats. In his spare time, Tom also enjoys rebuilding his Mako 19 centre console fishing boat.
