Ryan is a Principal at MIGP, with significant experience in Events, Sports and Place, and a proven track record of success in business case development, business plans, economic and financial modelling, feasibility assessments, commercial strategy, sports advisory consulting, event evaluations and event strategy.

Ryan has expertise in research and consulting techniques and is experienced in assisting private and government organisations make informed commercial decisions through analysis and evidence-based strategic recommendations.

 

Recent achievements include:

  • Delivering compelling and successful business cases to Treasury for multiple Government agencies and projects including the Hunter Sport & Entertainment Precinct ($1.6b), a new Wildlife Hospital and Sky Safari at Taronga Zoo ($150m) and a new University Campus on the NSW Central Coast ($60m).

  • Delivering major event feasibility studies for several sporting organisations such as World Rugby, Rugby Australia, Basketball Australia and Football Australia - assessing and projecting the benefits of hosting a major event to assist the organisations with Government funding applications.

  • Strategic planning and project managing major event bids including the Rugby World Cup 2027 and 2029.

  • Developing business plans and commercial feasibility assessments for sporting infrastructure including the Nick Kyrgios Foundation and multiple Automotive Destination precincts ($200m+) in Regional Victoria, Regional NSW, China and UAE.

  • Leading the development, implementation and delivery of over 200 financial and economic appraisals across a variety of sport, community and cultural events and venues.

  • Delivering demand and seating capacity optimisation analysis for new and redeveloped stadiums.

Prior to joining MIGP, Ryan’s was a Strategy Consultant for Nielsen Sports delivering commercial advice to sporting rights holders, broadcasters, commercial brands and government organisations.

 

Ryan is kept very busy with two small children and is an avid sports fan. He’s currently awaiting the next Premiership win for the West Coast Eagles.
