Ryan Matzelle, Associate Principal
Ryan is an Associate Principal at MI, with significant experience in the Sports, Events and Tourism sector, and a proven track record of success in sports facility, commercial and tourism strategies, business planning, economic modelling and financial modelling.
Ryan has significant skill in assisting clients in their strategic development. Strategy and planning were essential elements within recent work including business case development for the redevelopment of the proposed Hunter Sport & Entertainment precinct ($1.6b), a second motor racing circuit in Bathurst ($130m) and a new Wildlife Hospital at Taronga Zoo ($65m). Ryan has also developed a State-wide facility strategy for Tennis NSW.
Other recent successes include developing the facility strategy, business plan and feasibility assessment for the Nick Kyrgios Foundation and a commercial model for an Automotive Destination ($230m) including a race circuit, kart circuit, shooting club and hotel in regional Victoria.
Ryan has led the development, implementation and delivery of over 200 financial and economic appraisals across a variety of community, sport, and cultural events and venues. He is accomplished in financial modelling and in a previous role was the Lead Analyst for a major Health Fund, delivered analytical services that fortified the fund’s financial sustainability.
